IARC 2008
The Association for Unmanned Vehicle Systems International (AUVSI) has announced that 2008 would the last year for the fourth mission in the International Aerial Robotics Competition (IARC). The fourth mission was started in 2001 and since then $10,000 are added to the total prize money every year. The 2008 prize level is set at a total of $80,000. Any team that can demonstrate the entire Fourth Mission in under 15 minutes will receive the entire $80,000 prize in 2008, otherwise the prize will be distributed based on 2008 competitor performance most closely approaching the 15-minute mission goal.
